Sustainability
Years of paper-free use of wooden cubes from sustainable, controlled cultivation

The classroom cubes and the cube box are made in Indonesia with wood from sustainable cultivation. The wood is certified (Indonesian Legal Wood 060-LVLK-010-IDN) and comes from sustainable cultivation.
The cubes are made of pine wood and the cube box is made of spruce. They meet both the EU and US safety standards EN71 and ASTM.

Unfortunately, we had to rule out production in Switzerland or Europe for cost reasons. The search for a suitable producer led us to a family business in Indonesia that has been making wooden toys for 30 years. The youngest employee is 27 years old - child labor is excluded. The factory works with modern CNC machines. For the complex painting and printing - each of the 32 cubes is individually made - a combination of hand painting and printing was used. The production of the cubes supports the local population in and around Surabaya.

The classroom cubes can be used for years. Using the cubes instead of paper counteracts the flood of copies and saves resources in the long term.
